== 3D Dice and Roll Templates ==

You may notice "extra" 3D dice or "miss-matched" dice while using 3D dice with certain character sheets, if comparing with the {{Text Chat}} output.

This is due to many sheets on Roll20 use custom [[Roll Templates|roll templates]] for the sheet, which selectively determine if a specific rolls are displayed in the chat or not, while all dice are in fact rolled. One example is displaying extra critical hit attack and damage IF a given threshold is met or exceeded.

All dice are rolled upon a macros execution and 3D dice are based on those initial rolls before roll templates are applied. If there is a discrepancy between 3D dice and chat, chat results are final and should override any 3D dice in play.
