I feel that it would be good to collect information/examples of board games that people have tried/played/run using Roll20. I see odd mentions here and there in the forums, but nothing tangible, and until this page nothing regarding board games in the wiki.
I know that there are other web-based board game portals out there, so I am not expecting duplication of those necessarily, nor infringement of copyrights - but that still leaves a lot of scope.
[on a personal note: for my particular group of gaming friends we enjoy rpgs, boardgames and wargames, so it makes sense to bring them together as much as possible to reduce the learning curve on online gaming interfaces.]
Games I am initially thinking of
This is sort of a 'to do'. If you have already done then please move from here and add to guides section and link to this hub below.
- Avalon Hill's and the Civ Expansion Project - I have been running a game online using a variety of tools (forum posts, emails, PMs, etc) and I am hoping to use Roll20 to bring this all together.
- Squad Leader & Advanced Squad Leader
- Car Wars
Guides that already exist
Once there is a game-specific guide please add the link in here.
- Civilization - bare bones page.
General comments
