Template documentationThere are technical problems with redirecting a category page using #REDIRECT [[:Category:page name]]. See bug 3311 for more details on the technical issue.
Instead, apply this template to the category page, supplying the name of the category you wish to redirect to. This creates a "soft" redirect.
