This is a documentation subpage for Yt.be. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

Template for linking to youtube pages/videos/profiles, shows the YT logo next to the link so it's clear it goes outside the wiki, and to YT specificly. The template provides the youtu.be/ part of the url, so you need to copy the rest of the url after it.

This template is for easy use with any youtu.be/ links,where you just copy-paste the string of characters after the template.

Example:

https://youtu.be/xKXpKIiB5WM will become [1]

<code>https://youtu.be/xKXpKIiB5WM</code> will become {{yt.be|xKXpKIiB5WM}}

For youtube links using the full youtube.com/ format, use the other yt template, {{yt}} instead. playlists and and some other yt pages dont generate a shortlink, so {{yt.be}} won't work for all links.
